The Gold room is an informal and more intimate sitting area where guests can savour evening tea with scones and sponge cake or enjoy a sundowner before dinner. The most striking feature of the room is the beautiful Burma Teak panelled ceiling which was part of the same consignment that came for the interiors of the Viceregal Lodge at the turn of the century. In addition, the Louis XVI furniture, fine Persian rugs and the delicate cabinet from the Doge’s Palace in Venice creates the perfect setting for a memorable evening.
